FRENCH DESIGNERS COMING TO MONTREAL FASHION WEEK THIS OCTOBER

Ten French designers are coming to Montreal Fashion Week, on October 13 to 15, 2009. They will introduce their Spring/Summer 2010 collections during the show “Le Défilé des créateurs français” at the opening of the Fashion Week. These designers will be at the critically acclaimed “Le Showroom,” where they will be given a chance to show their talents in wearing apparel for men and women, and develop their distribution network. This year, Le Showroom will welcome about 60 designers.

To get the most out of their presence in Canada, the French designers will also have individual meetings with buyers, Canadian distributors and other professionals in the fashion industry.

Montreal Fashion Week is the bi-annual meeting for both national and international buyers. For this 17th edition, about 100 models will introduce the most beautiful Spring/Summer 2010 collections at Bonsecours Market in Montreal. Montreal Fashion Week lasts four days: shows introducing new trends, business meetings at the expo space, “Le Showroom”, press cocktail receptions and exhibitions related to the fashion industries.

Participation of the French designers at this fashion week is organized by Ubifrance and the French Trade Commissions in Canada, in collaboration with the Parisian trade show Who’s Next and OFQJ (French-Québec Youth Office).
