The Crestron wireless iLux™ (CLS-C6RF) was judged the Best Lighting Product, and the new Isys® TPS-6X wireless touchpanel won top honors as the Best Building Material and System Product. The WFX New Product Awards, presented by Worship Facilities and Church Production magazines at a ceremony in Houston, Texas, recognized the most innovative digital media product in the category of podcasting, webcasting, and streaming media in 2008.

ROCKLEIGH, NEW JERSEY – Crestron was named UK Manufacturer of the Year at the Inside Hi-Fi and Custom Installer Trade Awards 2008. The ceremony was held recently in the Novotel at London’s ExCeL. Crestron was recognized for its significant contribution to the development of the custom installation market and ongoing commitment to the company’s ever-expanding national network of dealers, partners and programmers.

Commenting on the award, Crestron UK Residential Sales Manager, Phil Solomons said, “It is always fantastic to receive awards, especially this one. To be named Manufacturer of the Year from those within the CI industry is a great honor. We take our relationships with our dealers extremely seriously and we are committed to supporting them in whatever way we can to grow the market together.”

The award punctuates a significant expansion period for the company that transformed its UK operation with a move to new headquarters at Munro House in Cobham. This impressive 12,500 sq ft facility has already enabled hundreds of installers from across the UK to get hands-on experience of Crestron award-winning products and technology, as well as participate in popular training courses, such as the two-day Crestron Foundation course, which was also acknowledged in the Training Course of the Year category.

ROCKLEIGH, NEW JERSEY — Crestron recently announced the appointment of Keith Kennedy as its new Product Marketing Manager for the Adagio® family of home entertainment solutions. Kennedy, who comes to Crestron from Niles Audio Corporation, will be based in Crestron’s Rockleigh headquarters. Kennedy is a skilled electronic custom installation and technology professional with 25 years of industry experience that spans many industry functions. He is a well-rounded design engineer and custom installer with a proven history of integration experience.

Kennedy will be responsible for the sales and marketing of the Adagio line of integrated home entertainment systems. Adagio was launched in April 2006 with the AADS, AES and AAE. Most recently, Crestron announced the AMS and AMS-AIP. Adagio is one of the most popular and critically acclaimed product lines in the industry.

Kennedy co-founded a successful, custom integration firm and expertly managed sales and marketing responsibilities. He is also highly qualified in the designing award-winning systems to meet customer needs in form, function and implementation.

While at Niles Audio, Kennedy was responsible for product management, developing specifications, maintaining technology roadmaps and instituting annual sales and revenue plans. At Crestron, he will play a critical role in new product development, and creating and executing strategies for greater market penetration.
