Local Sedona Artists Design Christmas Trees to Support the Chameleon Project & Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Arizona

October 16th, 2008

Sedona Arizona, 2008 – From November 28 through December 7, Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village, and the supporting sponsor, Los Abrigados, will present The “Festival of Trees” with a silent-auction benefiting two non-profit entities. Area Artists and Galleries will contribute their time and talent to create over 25 Christmas trees that will be put up in a silent-auction, each tree will be decorated in fun and exquisite ways to entice the guests of Tlaquepaque. Local favorites Andrea Smith, Lisa Daniels, Rod Bearcloud, Chris Navarro, Robert Shields, and John and Misty Soderberg are supporting this event with their very own special trees!

“This is such a great idea for a fundraiser, and with local artists from Sedona to support these two organizations speaks volume”, said Rod Bearcloud Berry, Founder of the Chameleon Project. “The money generated through this auction will help the Chameleon Project and its grassroots efforts to spread the word out about the Chameleon Project”.

All trees will be displayed on the Terrace at Patio del Norte accompanied with silent auction bid sheets. The viewers may visit Tlaquepaque and check their bids through 4:00 p.m. on December 7th.

Mark your calendar for December 5th, when visitors can mingle with the artists from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Tickets for this special “Meet the Artists” evening are $25.00 per person; contact Mally Paquette 772-643-2742.

The Chameleon Project is the largest project to assist the spirit of humanity on Earth. It is a world-wide destination oasis. The beauty of its unique gardens, structures and symbols, can be found in the heartfelt inspiration of the whole facility. This monumental structure and its dome enclosed gardens are created to assist everyone in deepening their understanding of the Mother Earth and promoting a more conscious awareness of the planet. This classical garden park is designed to inspire the hearts of all people.

The mission at the Make-A-Wish Foundation® is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
