On board a spaceship, a young woman struggles to get over someone, makes new friends, and cares for an emotion-intensifying plant.

Fitchburg, WI (Release Date) – What lengths would a person go just to get over someone?  In author Miki Sommer’s riveting story that combines intrigue, action, love, and lust, readers will feel an overwhelming mix of emotions as the main character, Debbie, explores another way of moving on.  Elusive Love is a multifaceted sci-fi novel that will leave readers spellbound.

Debbie, a young university graduate, will finally travel away from Earth, but this decision to travel is mostly based on heartache – her desire to forget and escape from Steele, the man she had longed for throughout her degree but who can only be friends with her and nothing more.  She embarks on this space voyage; accepts a position in the arboretum of the spaceship Elusive, thinking that this will help her move on and will help her in her career.  Surprisingly, at the welcoming party on board, she finds herself face to face with Steele, the very person she’s trying to avoid.  And she discovers that he isn’t the innocent, chaste boy she thought he was, but rather a magnet for every woman on the ship.

To make her trip even more interesting, there is an attempted assassination on Flarc Mosi, an alien diplomat who single-handedly negotiated a peace treaty to allow safe trading between solar systems in the galaxy.  He is poisoned and the cure is an alien plant found only on the planet Darshiva.  Elusive travels to Darshiva to get this antidote.  Debbie, who works in the arboretum, is tasked to care for the plant throughout the journey.  What she doesn’t know is that the plant has an unusual ability – it can accentuate emotions.  With the pent-up and erratic feelings she is struggling with, can she continue to keep her emotions intact, in place, and within her control?  Readers will find out as they accompany Debbie in Elusive Love.

Author Miki Sommer’s Elusive Love is a light and easy read that keeps readers turning from one page to the next.  It is a passionate story that shows how a person can find closure and start anew; what it means to let go of mind-made illusions; and how to embrace what is real and dependable.  The book is available for sale on www.Lulu.com, www.Amazon.com, and www.BarnesandNoble.com.
