Millésime Bio is an international trade show dedicated to the organic wines industry. For its 17th edition, the show will take place in Montpellier, France, from Jan. 25 to 27, 2010. Building on the success of the 2009 edition, which gave the show a global audience, Millésime Bio 2010 will host more than 400 exhibitors (winegrowers and wine merchants) at the Exhibition Center in Montpellier.

For the third year, the show will also include the Challenge Millésime Bio, an international contest of organic wines. Preliminary tasting of samples for the contest will take place on November 16, 2009.

Millésime Bio (pronounced “meal-ay-zeem”) was established by the Inter-professional Association of Organic Wines from Languedoc-Roussillon (AIVB-LR). Tailored to wine professionals’ needs, the show is a focal point for the organic wines from all wine-making regions and countries. It serves as a presentation platform for the year’s new vintages and a market barometer. Millésime Bio’s concept is unique: ready-made, identical stands, the wine alone makes the difference.

In 2009, the Professional World Trade Show for Wines made from Organically grown Grapes hosted:
- 354 exhibitors: winegrowers and merchants (annual increase of 27%) coming from South Africa, Germany, Spain, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania
- 1,700 professional visitors, mostly from Europe, Northern America and Japan, representing 700 wine buying companies (annual increase of 50%). In total, 31 countries (other than France) were represented, including 14 non-EU countries.
