At next month’s IAAPA trade show in Orlando, the French Economic Mission of Atlanta is hosting a French pavilion to showcase several manufacturers and developers of products and services for the amusement park industry. This marks the first time a delegation from France has exhibited together at IAAPA. Europe’s amusement parks generate annual attendance of about 70 million people and revenues of around $1.5 billion. The European theme park industry has also been marked by new development activity in recent years, and in the last four years, new attraction development has been focused primarily in France. Seven companies will be on-hand at the French pavilion, booth 4429 from November 17 to 21, representing various areas of the industry including attractions, décor, and equipment.
The seven exhibitors on the French pavilion include:
Aerophile: Designs and manufactures large-scale tethered textile gas balloons for decoration, marketing, or recreational transport. Smaller inflatable systems and balloons are also possible.
Aquatique Show: Designs and produces customized choreographed water and laser light shows for entertainment, incorporating other visual elements such as projections and pyrotechnic displays.
BHD Group: The European leader in textile architecture, its ACS Production subsidiary provides an all-in-one service including design, calculations, manufacturing and installation for textile architecture specific to amusement and leisure parks and attractions.
Concept 1900: Designs, manufactures, and assembles vintage-style merry-go-rounds that are exported worldwide. The company can also design and produce customized carousels as the client requests.
Deschamps Mat Systems: Developer of multipurpose roll-out access mats and flooring, Deschamps is showcasing its Mobi-Mat RecPath portable roll-out access pathway for pedestrians and vehicles and its Mobi-Chair amphibious beach wheelchair.
Total Immersion: Specializes in “augmented reality” multimedia presentations and interactive attractions, by digitally adding interactive 3-D objects into live-action video. The French pavilion will feature two of its working interactive attractions for IAAPA 2008.
Vitabri: Manufactures high-quality collapsible canopies and tents for outdoor activities and events. Tents can be customized with art or a company logo and can be installed without any hardware in 30 seconds.
