In France’s Rhone-Alps region, Expansion 42, the Loire Economic Development Agency,  offers a number of services to help area businesses, with a dedicated focus to fostering growth in the region’s automotive companies.

It provides up-to-date information regarding the Loire region, prepares and promotes site proposals, presents concrete propositions for companies, and helps them set up under the very best conditions. The agency’s tailored support services include examining all possibilities for aid packages and subsidies, carrying out assessments and monitoring applications from end to end, supporting the company manager with his projects, and helping the company manager to join the various networks of partners including local and regional business clubs, and recruitment support.

Expansion 42 maintains a close business partnership with Viameca and Lyon Urban Trucks and Bus 2015 (two major French competitiveness clusters). It also hosts an automotive manufacturers association, C.A.R. Loire, which brings companies together to foster technological exchanges and provide collective responses to their customers. This association brings together 85 companies working in five fields of activity: chassis and suspension; bodywork and interiors; engine, transmission, and steering; engineering and production facilities; and vehicle and rolling stock manufacturing.
